Introducing the Caregivers First Choice (CFC) Training Portal

A clearer, simpler way to complete your required caregiver training online.

We're excited to share something we've been building for a while: the Caregivers First Choice Training Portal is live.

It's an online home for the training our caregivers need. That includes the training required by the state and Medicaid to help every caregiver provide safe, quality care, plus modules that will be tailored to the specific needs of the person being cared for. Whether you've been caregiving for years or you're just getting started, this caregiver training portal is there to make sure you have a clear, solid understanding of the concepts that matter.

What the Training Portal Includes

• Required training, in one place. Orientation, infection control, emergency preparedness, scope of duties, and the other trainings required to provide care, presented clearly and at your own pace.
• Care-specific modules. Learning built around the needs of the person you support, like seizure first aid for a family living with epilepsy, so what you study connects to the care you actually provide.
• Self-paced and accessible. Complete it from a phone, tablet, or computer, on your schedule, and revisit any module whenever you need a refresher.
  
• Certificates and records. You get a certificate and a timestamped record the moment you finish, so your file stays complete and your training is documented.
  
• A head start. New applicants can begin their required pre-hire training right away.

It Works Alongside Your In-Person Support, Not Instead of It

The hands-on guidance and the relationships you build with our team in person remain central to how we support you. The portal handles the required training and care-specific learning so that time together can stay focused where it's most valuable.

Why We Built the Caregiver Training Portal

Good care starts with caregivers who understand what they're doing, and that's true whether someone is brand new to caregiving or has been doing it for a lifetime. Our goal with the portal is straightforward: make the required training clear and accessible enough that everyone genuinely understands it, not just clicks through it.
